Our Introduction to Bookkeeping course is the ideal starting point for future business leaders, accountants and entrepreneurs. You don’t need any previous knowledge of accounting. Simply sign up and start your journey.

What you will learn

In this course you will learn about:

  • Business transactions, the banking system and double entry bookkeeping
  • Payroll and ledger accounts
  • Reconciliation and preparing the trial balance.

Entry requirements

None - this is an introductory course.

Certification

You won't get a certificate for completing this course but if you want an award simply register with ACCA as a student and take the related exams. 

Related ACCA computer-based exams:

  • 'Recording Financial Transactions' (FA1). Use this Introduction to Bookkeeping course to prepare for the exam.
  • 'Management Information' (MA1). Study Introduction to Management Accounting.

You need to pass the FA1 and MA1 exams and complete an online and interactive module on the 'Foundations in Professionalism' to be awarded the ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (RQF Level 2).
